Lisa Green-Otero, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Lisa Green-Otero, formerly Dr. Harrington, is a Florida native. At a young age, she developed a love of animals and desired to help them. She volunteered at a nearby veterinary clinic when she was 13 years old. There, she learned from her mentor about how rewarding being a veterinarian could be, and at 15 years old, she was hired as a veterinary assistant.

She attended the University of Florida (Go Gators!) for 8 years, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Upon graduation, she promptly moved to Austin where she enjoyed the novelty, warm weather, and plethora of outdoor activities and live music. She worked for a corporate veterinary hospital until joining NWVH in 2015. She loves being a veterinarian, and she especially enjoys the strong human-animal bond she has witnessed at this practice in particular.

Outside of work, Dr. Green-Otero loves spending time with her husband. Together, they enjoy trying new vegan restaurants (and frequenting established ones!), exploring new cities, hiking when the weather is nice, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and attending musicals. They have three fur kids: Zuko, a sweet Doberman Pinscher and 2 dogs that are siblings named AT-AT and Usidore. One day she hopes to rescue some farm animals because they deserve love, too. Her other personal interests include listening to podcasts, practicing self care, and going to the beach.
