Dr. Judy Weirauch
Originally from Dallas, Dr. Weirauch graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M with a degree in biomedical science in 1998. She continued on at A&M’s college of veterinary medicine to get her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002. After graduation she moved to Austin and decided she would stay for life. When not working, she spends time with her Great Pyrenees/Heeler mix, Ivy and her German shepherd/Heeler mix (who inexplicably has 9 inch legs), Raven. After being primarily a “dog person”, she branched into the feline world when she adopted a clinic cat, Chirps. The oldest nonhuman member of her household is her 27-year-old cockatiel, Kerby. Despite being the smallest, Kerby commands the respect of all of the other animals. When she is not walking her dogs or hanging out with friends and the pups at one of Austin’s dog park bars, she likes to run, learn about forensics and true crime, and go to live music events.
